Sweet little book about a poor girl and a rich guy. Abbi lives in a double wide in Georgia. She waitresses at a redneck dive and is pretty much just existing after her Mom died of cancer. She gets a phone call from a friend of her Dads. Her Dad left when she was a child and would occasionally drift in and then out of her life, usually when he was in need of money. Abbi finds out that her Dad has passed away and left her just enough money to get out of town and start over somewhere else. She buys a plane ticket to LA and gets a job bartending at a popular club where she makes new friends and meets Ryan. There is instant attraction but Ryan is not in a good place for a relationship so he sends her mixed signals. She finally gets fed up with Mr. Wishy Washy and decides to move on. That decision lands her in big trouble. Ryan saves her but not before she is hurt. This wakes him up but more trouble is on the horizon. Shady things are going in at Abbi's job and it may have put Abbi and her friends in the cross hairs.

Abbi was a strong h who wasn't afraid to take chances. I really liked Abbi but she could be very naive. There were a couple roll my eyes moment. Ryan was a likable enough H and very protective but he wasn't alpha enough for me. By allowing Abbi to continue to work at the Club when it was obvious there was shady stuff going on, Ryan pretty much lost his Alpha card. There were some editing issues, weird flow, and stilted conversations but overall this was a solid

I am an extremely avid reader. I read a book a day usually and there are more book release dates in my phone than birthdays! I LOVE to read. Because of this I find that sometimes I have a hard time finding books that really grab me because after awhile, unfortunately, things start to "blend." This book in no way blended in and for someone who truly loves a good book, that's a priceless feeling!
I adored the characters, I thought the story line was great and the flow was just right for me. Jennifer did an amazing job with her descriptions, making it perfectly clear what she wanted you to see without overdoing it which in my opinion isn't always easy to find so it was great to see from a debut author!
I would recommend this book to anyone and I'm so excited to get started on Cherish Me!
Ryan he's compassionate and I liked that, "her eyes read and swollen, Jesus he had actually hurt her. His guy tore in two, he had no idea why, but every fiber of him wanted to protect her and keep her from being harmed." Abbi she has balls and isn't afraid to speak her mind, "you know, I am with a date tonight and he is really nice. He compliments me, wants to spend time with me, and be seen in public with me. You haven't done any of those things tonight Ryan." He loves his girl though, she turns him on, "a low growl escaping his lips as her teeth grazed the side of his throat. "Baby, as much as I would love to stay here and make love to you seven ways till Sunday. I have to go in this morning." He's also the type of man who doesn't mind a little shopping now when you find one of those you keep them, "well, what kind of shopping did you want to do? Clothes, paintings, home goods. You name it and we are there." I liked this book and can't wait for Jace's story.
This is this author’s debut novel and it did NOT disappoint! I really enjoyed the characters and the story told in this book. I will definitely be reading the next one as soon as it comes out this week! I recommend that you do too!
Abbi is a girl who wants to change her life. A sudden inheritance and she is on her way to her dream.
Ryan is a rich bachelor who owns his own security business who didn’t think he’d ever settle.
When the two cross paths, nothing will be the same.
Trent’s dirty business puts Abbi in harms way and Ryan won’t go for it.
Judy becomes one of Abbi’s best friends and is a riot!
Ashley takes a wrong turn in life and almost pays the price with her own.
I love how this story played out. So many emotions we went through reading. From laughter to anger to sadness and frustration. We felt them all.
I gave this book 4.25 stars and do recommend that you read it too!

I cannot wait for the second installment, Cherish Me to come out!
Good Debut book for Jennifer....3.5 STARS. I really enjoyed this story, especially, Abbi's sharp & whitty tongue as it made for some good laugh out loud moments. I really liked Ryan...there is something about a man in uniform (active or retired) that stirs my soul. He was the perfect mix of protective and fun loving. They were good for each other and good to each other. There were definitely some tense moments followed by some aww moments. There was plenty of drama and even a little suspense to keep you turning the pages.

I would like to have had a little more of Ryan's story as I think it would have provided more of an emotional connection with him. While there was chemistry between Ryan & Abbi, I did not feel the non-physical connection between them. There were times when I felt too much detail went into insignificant parts of the story while other times there could have been more. I think Jennifer did good with her debut book and I am looking forward to continuing Jace & Judy's story in Cherish Me.
